2024 Legislative Session
As a state employee, every aspect of your career is embedded in politics. Politicians make decisions that impact your wages, retirement, telework availability, and even your promotional opportunities. When the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services denied Drinking and Driving Monitors a promotional track - legislators passed a bill to force the agency to create a Drinking and Driving Monitor III position. When the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services refused to increase the grade for Pretrial Release Case Agents - legislators passed a bill which forced the agency to increase the grade of Pretrial Release Case Agents to a Grade 14. It is important we continue to write the narrative for community corrections.
