Local 3661 Honors the Fallen at the 40th Annual Fallen Heroes Day Ceremony

Today, President Rayneika Robinson, Secretary Zjinaiya Francis, Executive Board Member Avila, and members from the Silver Spring office Feild Office proudly attended the 40th Annual Fallen Heroes Day ceremony at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.

This deeply moving event honored the lives and sacrifices of the 2024–2025 Fallen Heroes:

- Agent Davis Martinez
- Master Firefighter Michael T. Warfel
- Deputy Chief William F. Goddard III
- Lieutenant Richard E. Blankship Jr.
- Deputy Sheriff Corey D. McElroy
- Officer Daoud A. Mingo
- Chief Kevin E. Morgan
- Sergeant Brenda J. Lowery
- Lieutenant Christopher J. Higgins
Proclamation Presentations were also made to:
- Captain Charles P. Ditch
- Lieutenant Joseph A. Stigler
- Sergeant Wallace J. Mowbray
The ceremony was graced by heartfelt memorial addresses from Lieutenant Governor Aruna K. Miller, Baltimore County Executive Katherine A. Klausmeier, and Lynne Parry, President of Concerns of Police Survivors and a survivor of a fallen hero. Each message was a powerful reminder of the selfless service and courage shown by those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A particularly emotional moment came when the plaque honoring Agent Davis Martinez was accepted by his mother, surrounded by their extended family—a solemn reminder of the deep personal loss carried by the families of the fallen.

Local 3661 stands in solidarity with all those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. Our hearts remain heavy, but we are inspired by the strength and unity demonstrated at today’s ceremony. We extend our deepest gratitude to those who continue to serve, carrying forward the legacy and values of our fallen heroes.
